The below is a brief note from outgoing CEO and Founder Michael Fertik, as he transitions to a new role as Executive Chairman.
I have big news to share – after 10 years of founding and leading Reputation.com, I’m moving to the brand-new role of Executive Chairman. I’m thrilled to say that Shrey Bhatia will take the helm in an expanded role as CEO and President starting immediately.
So what does Executive Chairman mean? It means I’ll still be around – my focus will be strategic marketing and client development activities. I’ll be a source of support for Shrey and the rest of the management team. I’ll still serve on the Board of Directors, as I’ve always done. I’ll even be in the office from time to time! And this new gig also gives me some opportunity to lead new ventures, which is great and challenging fun for entrepreneurs like me (and should come as no surprise in Silicon Valley).
It’s a good time for me to make this transition – I’m extremely confident in Reputation.com’s continued success. We’re on an excellent trajectory. We’re crushing it on both the enterprise and consumer sides of the house (HUGE thanks to all of you!); we have a management team that’s top notch; and we have a results-oriented and very sharp leader in Shrey. Each of you should look at what we’ve built since 2006 and be proud of your accomplishments – from literally defining and now owning a market category to creating some (really) great technology to adding numerous Fortune 500 and Global 2000 businesses to our portfolio.
Thank you to each and every one of you for making RDC what it is today. It’s been a challenging, exhilarating decade – and I’m really proud of what we’ve done together.
Please stay in touch – and congratulate Shrey when you see him!
