A bankruptcy is not private, it's considered a public record. Similar to your personal identifiable information (name, age, date of birth), anyone can pull the records from the County Clerk's office. Unless a document is sealed, all proceedings are available for viewing. Unfortunately, that means the information is also freely available on the Internet.
