Can we keep a bankruptcy off the Internet?

Answer:

A bankruptcy is not private, it's considered a public record. Similar to your personal identifiable information (name, age, date of birth), anyone can pull the records from the County Clerk's office. Unless a document is sealed, all proceedings are available for viewing. Unfortunately, that means the information is also freely available on the Internet. If you have a bankruptcy file showing online, please contact one of our Advanced Client Solutions team members at 888-720-9980 and we will be able to provide you some solutions.
