How reputation works
Your search results are your reputation.
People don’t ask for character references, job references or background information anymore, they just ask Google. But don’t count on any of the major search engines to make you look your best.

Search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo! don’t know the difference between you and someone with the same name. Or between lies and the truth. They only care how “relevant” their results are to the search terms (i.e. your name), so they’re just as likely to show something negative as something positive. And in a recent survey, 74% said they wouldn’t interact or do business with someone who had negative material about them online.1

You’re judged on what Google finds.

Before hiring, dating, or doing business with you, most people and companies will first search you on Google, Bing or Yahoo! And people expect to find certain things: bios, achievements, awards, news articles, and the like. Yet when they find unflattering news reports, legal filings, party photos, or other questionable material, they’ll hire, date or do business with someone else.

How we can help
We change search results.
Since it’s nearly impossible to get a blog post, news article or photo deleted from the Internet, our patented technology does the next best thing: it makes the content hard for anyone to find.

Search engines are so good that over 75% of the time, people find what they’re looking for in the first three search results, 84% never look past the first page, and virtually no one looked on page three. So pushing negative material to the third page (or lower) would, for all intents and purposes, make it invisible.

Cleaning up a reputation on the Internet doesn’t happen overnight. There are a lot of factors that determine how long it takes. But overall, the sooner you start, the better.

There are four factors that determine the complexity of getting damaging results out of your top Google results:
- How highly the unwanted content ranks,
- The authority of the site containing that content,
- The number of people Googling your name &
- The number of people with the same name.
Top-ranking results are typically the most credible and popular content, even if it’s negative. News media outlets, universities or government websites rank more highly than content from someone’s personal blog. Popular names get more Web traffic and have more associated content than obscure names. And common names require you to out-rank the top content from many people instead of only a few.
