There are have been times I wished I could have my names be the same on all the sites I have a presence. I am glad, though, it was not available when I was younger. The username I used back then was pretty lame, so it is a good thing it did not have a chance to spread!

This sounds like a great concept. I will be investigating it and possibly recommending it to my clients.

I'm still amazed at the people who think they can be found on facebook easily with just their name. I have to go back to them and inform them that there are 300 people on facebook with their exact name (first and last). Then they give me their email address to find them by. I meet a lot of people on dating sites and choose for them to get to know me through facebook. It's easier than back and forth emails to just a picture and a short profile on a dating site. It's never been my preference to use my real name on the internet, but it's nice to get to a new social site and find that one of my preferred usernames is available. It takes time to make up one that people can easily remember (without all the numbers added).

As someone who perpetually preaches the concept that if you don't manage your own reputation online, someone else will manage it for you, I'm pleased to hear of the tools you're developing like NameGrab!
